Warta’s players are currently on vacation, which will last until January 2. After that, an intensive preparatory period will begin. The training staff has a rather unusual plan for its completion.
After the fall round, the Greens have already played two control games – against Lech II Poznan (1:1) and Polonia Środa Wlkp. (4:3). Only after these did the players get time off.
Shortly after the resumption of classes, Dawid Szulczek’s charges will face an internal sparring match, while between January 8 and 20, they will be on a training camp in Side, Turkey. At least two control matches are planned there, but the list of rivals is not yet determined.
Warta will play their first match for stakes on Saturday, January 28, at 3 p.m. They will face Rakow Częstochowa in Grodzisk Wlkp. as part of the 18th round of PKO Ekstraklasa.
Even after the resumption of the battle for points, the Warriors will continue to play friendly games. On February 11 or 12, a clash with KKS 1925 Kalisz awaits them. It is possible that in it, coach Szulczek will still check out candidates to play for his team. This is because the transfer window will still be open.
Currently, the Greens are 9th in the PKO Ekstraklasa table with 25 points.
